.NAME Domain Names

Introduced in 2001, the .NAME TLD is the only one planned for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. At first, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already purchased third-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can register your .NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to switch the WHOIS contacts, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no particular stipulations on who can grab a .NAME domain name, but in order to preserve the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME generic domain name extension is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the precise spelling in your local language.
